Business at Isadore A. Rapasadi & Sons, Inc. is conducted in three buildings, boasting a combined total of approximately 100,000 square feet of storage and office space. Isadore’s foresight in placing his company at the Canastota Thruway Exit 34 (I-90) paid dividends as pickups and deliveries were a breeze…even before GPS systems in long haul transports.

A huge, well ventilated onion warehouse keeps warm even in the winter because onions generate their own heat, staying at a consistent 40 degrees.  Potatoes and the other perishables are stored in a large walk-in cooler.

Offering the most popular varieties of onions, potatoes, the medium yellow globe-shaped onion is the company’s best selling item.  After pick up from the growers’ the product is dropped at one of Rapasadi's three buildings.  The onions are then sorted, graded, sized and packaged into 1.5#, 2#, 3#, 5#, 10#, #25 or 50# bags and then shipped daily to customers from Maine to Florida.
